Six Flags hosts the annual I.C.N.A. Muslim Family on September 12. This event offers fun for the entire family and will also offer halal food stalls. What in the world are these people thinking...out of every calendar day they could choose from, they offer a celebration for Muslims on the day after 9/11? Someone in the events department needs their head examined...or we all need to think twice about spending any money with that company.

Maybe I am wrong?
They already stopped the program for two years. I would understand that it was disrespectful to hold it so close to a date which is important to America, but they've been holding this festival on that, or close, to that date for many years prior to the tragic event.
Americans weren't the only ones who suffered from 9/11.
*September 11 & 12, shares the anniversary of an important battle that took place at the Gates of Vienna which happened on 11&12 of September 1683. It marked the beginning to the end of Islam’s threat to Europe.
*Six Flags doesn't have special days based on religion. It's not open on certain days and allows itself to be rented out to private organizations, which may include religious organizations. This can include, Jewish, Muslim, Cathlic, etc. It’s not discriminating as long as every private group has an equal opportunity. Discrimination would definately be not allowing a Muslim group to rent out the park.
*September is the main month for these type of events at Six Flags. ICNA was actually renting the park across the country at or around this exact date prior 9/11 even happening. They even stopped doing it for two years after 9/11&12 so people wouldn’t say hateful and ignorant things.
*Muslim Day at Six Flags is also to specifically celebrate the end of the month of Ramadan, an important holiday in their culture. It's the month of fasting which the dates change from year to year based on the lunar calandar. So I suppose the Muslims control the cycle of the moon too?
This is no disrespect to the events that took place 9/11/2001, but I feel we shouldn't discriminate against others, due to this horrific event.
