Trinity United Methodist Church fundraiser for Angels of God Clothing Closet. Flip-Flop Bike-a-Thon : On Saturday, May 19th, the Mission Committee will be sponsoring a Bike-a-thon to benefit Angels of God Clothing Closet in Pitman. Whether you are a biking enthusiast or just want to bike with your family, we will have a loop for you. Mullica Hill Rummage Sale – Sat, May 19th Mullica Hill, NJ – Friends School Mullica Hill's Parents' Association is hosting its annual Rummage Sale on Sat, May 19th from 8 am to noon. All proceeds from this "rain or shine" sale will benefit the school. Friends School parents have been donating items for the sale for weeks. Vintage South Jersey Wine Festival ( 12:00 - noon - 5:00 pm )
GLASSBORO – The Borough of Glassboro has partnered with the South Jersey Tourism Corporation and the wineries of Vintage South Jersey to host the Glassboro Vintage South Jersey Wine Festival Saturday-Sunday, May 19-20. Tickets are now available for the event which runs 12:00-5:00 p.m. each day on Rowan Boulevard as part of the Glassboro Marketplace series of community activities. Thirteen regional wineries and vineyards--all from New Jersey's outer coastal plain--will offer tastings as well as wines by the bottle or case. They include Amalthea Winery, Auburn Road Vineyard and Winery, Bellview Winery, Cedarvale Winery, Chestnut Run Farm, Coda Rossa Winery, DiBella Winery, DiMatteo Vineyards, Heritage Vineyards, Plagido's Winery, Sharrott Winery, Tomasello, Valenzano Winery and Wagonhouse Winery. Local restauranteurs will offer gourmet foods while farmers, crafters and entertainers provide something for the whole family to enjoy. Souvenir glasses are included with admission to the festival. Advance tickets are available online at www.glassboromarketplace.com. Tickets are $19 in advance and $25 at the door. "The Wine Festival is expected to draw 2,000 wine enthusiasts to Rowan Boulevard each day. This effort represents our commitment to local wineries and farmers, as well as their commitment to the revitalization of downtown Glassboro and the economic prosperity of our merchants," said Glassboro Council President Tony Fiola. The Glassboro Marketplace is made possible in part by Stanger Sponsors Peach Country Tractor, Barnes & Noble at Rowan University and New Jersey Clean Communities. Ample free parking is available and the Festival will take place rain or shine. Additional tents will be used in case of inclement weather.
